Dr Varigos is a specialist anaesthetist who obtained her fellowship in medical acupuncture and was introduced to laser acupuncture. She spent many years as an interventional anaesthetist and involved in RFD’s, spinal pumps and sympathetic blocks. With her understanding of the theatre environment, surgical procedures and anaesthesia, she has been able to work with surgeons and the management of their patients during the peri operative period. As an anaesthetist now having been involved with over 1,000 hospital consultations, she has added PBM as part of an individualised multimodal management of patients immediately before and/or after surgery to help optimise their recovery.
As a leading clinical practitioner in the use of PBM, she has aimed to reduce dependence on pharmaceutical agents. Her private pain practice of 30 years has involved the treatment of patients referred from surgical and medical specialists for numerous acute and chronic pain conditions.
