Bio
Kelly Frazer is a professor and the founding chief of the Division of Genome Information Sciences in the UC San Diego Department of Pediatrics. She also serves as the director of the UC San Diego Institute for Genomic Medicine. Over the past 35 years, she has studied various aspects of functional and structural human genomics, including pioneering cross-species DNA sequence comparisons between humans and other species, leading the generation of the dataset for the HapMap project, and developing novel methods for identifying and functionally annotating variants underlying GWAS signals.
