Bio
Dr. Jason Starr is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Starr graduated from Lake Erie College of Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He did his internal medicine and hematology/oncology training at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. He joined the University of Florida in April 2016 as a clinically-based investigator and educator with a focus on gastrointestinal cancers. He is an active member of the UF Health Cancer Center’s GI Oncology program with interest in personalized oncology treatment including innovative therapies as part of cancer clinical trials. Dr. Starr also has a clinical interest in palliative care and optimizing quality of life for patients.

Dr. Starr is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and is a board member of the Florida Association of Clinical Oncology. He has a passion for teaching and is very involved in the education and training of fellows, residents, and students in the College of Medicine.
