Prof. Ashfaq, is currently working as Associate Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS) as well as HOD, Professor, University Institute (UIPT), Clinics (UPTRCs) and Centre of Research in Physical Therapy (CRiP) at The University of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He has more than Twenty years of academic, clinical, research, administrative and wellbeing experience in his relevant field. He has published more than 140 good quality articles in well renowned national and international journals. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan’s first “Pakistan Journal of Physical Therapy”
Dr. Ashfaq is also having experience of establishing wellbeing, clinical & academic setups of physical therapy in well renowned organizations and universities of Pakistan. He is the man with the vision of taking physical therapy and rehabilitation sciences at its peak. He also worked as Chairman, Board of Directors, Pakistan Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). He is Member, National Curriculum Review Committee, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. He also has the honor to start first ever PhD Physical Therapy in Pakistan. He has completed his certifications in Anne Penman Laser Therapy from Glasgow, Scotland (UK) and Thor Laser Therapy from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.
