Dr. Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat earned her degrees from Bradley University and later a doctorate from Illinois State University.
Some of her experiences include: middle school teacher; principal of the Blue-Ribbon Whittier Primary School; assistant principal of Roosevelt Magnet (Pre-K – 8th), and High School Principal of Manual.
She also served as the Transformation Officer for District 186 and then the Associate Superintendent of Schools in Danville. She is serving her 5th year as Superintendent of Peoria Public Schools.
She believes that schools can’t do it alone but together a community can.
Her 5-year vision for PPS is focused on “reimaging schools.”
