Nadia is a partner and litigator at Lerners LLP.
Nadia’s health law practice focuses on medical malpractice litigation. She defends health care professionals in claims alleging negligence, informed consent issues, human rights issues, and privacy breaches. Nadia also has a broad regulatory practice including complaints, capacity, and disciplinary matters before several health regulatory colleges. Nadia has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for her work in health care law.
Nadia’s insurance defence practice includes a wide-range of tort litigation including professional liability, municipal liability, and occupiers’ liability. Nadia regularly defends police officers, firefighters, and paramedics against negligence claims. She has acted as counsel in coroner’s inquests related to psychiatric care, police use of force, and fire fatalities.
Nadia also assists insurers with complex insurance coverage disputes involving D&O, E&O, fidelity and cyber risk policies. Nadia has been involved in high profile coverage litigation involving financial institutions and multi-national corporations.
