Dr Farooq Rathore is consultant and Head at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, PNS Shifa hospital, Karachi, Pakistan. He is also the National Representative for the ISPRM, Executive board member of the Asia-Oceanian Society of PMR and Cochrane Rehabilitation.
He is an active researcher with 134 publications. He has been an invited and plenary speaker in national and international conferences. He won ISPRM young Investigators award 2009, Travel grants from Emerging Nations Science Foundation (Italy),Young Physician’s Scholarship for the 7th World Stroke Congress ( Seoul, Korea), Research productivity Award 2010 ,2011 and 2012 ( Pakistan Council for Science) and AuthorAID mentor of the year 2014 award. He was awarded 25,000 USD scholarship for training in the USA. He is passionate about teaching research writing and has conducted 90 workshops all around the globe.
His areas of interest are spinal cord injuries, stroke rehabilitation, disaster rehabilitation, medical education, and Bioethics.
