Ruth is currently CEO at Kindred Education Limited, a private equity backed acquisitive group of 23 children’s nurseries and pre-schools predominantly based in London and the Home Counties.
Ruth is very well known in the sector and has been recognised in the NMT Power 20 in 2014, the Top 20 in 2015 and in the Top 10 most influential in 2019. She was the Early Years National Director with the Government’s National Strategies from 2006 – 2009 and was instrumental in managing the development and the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, the regulatory documentation underpinning childcare in England. Ruth has provided advisory support to investors and providers for many years. A teacher by background she has worked in nurseries, schools, Local Authorities and as an OFSTED inspector for over 30 years.
Ruth has developed her business skills against the backdrop of a passion and belief that high quality nurseries provide the best start in life for children and a great place for staff to work.
