Lanitra is the Diversity/Inclusion Acquisition & Family Engagement Coordinator for Amarillo ISD. She creates family programs and supports students who intend on getting an Education degree after graduation. Lanitra serves as the co-founder and director of the non-profit Youth Success Project, which engages youth and families in college preparatory experiences to encourage and inspire the pursuit and completion of higher education. Lanitra is a long-time advocate of women creating their own success. In her free time Lanitra mentors women in the community, launching outreach initiatives, and being an advocate for higher education.
