Elizabeth Model brings a strong and diverse business background in a variety of industries, currently holding the position of CEO for the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association, where she continues to contribute and collaborate in the new buildout of Surrey City Centre. Her prior positions included General Manager, 9 years, for a large land development company with a diverse portfolio of businesses, including a golf course and marina, with over 100 staff, she grew the business with significant profits for the owner; Executive Director with the Tri Cities Chamber of Commerce for 13 years where the Chamber grew from 283 Members to over 1000 Members under her leadership. With a solid but unrelated, educational background, Elizabeth co-owned and operated several small businesses in her early stages of her working career which included tourism and retail. She brings a strong economic development, tourism, community engagement, marketing and government relations skill set to the boards and organizations she serves.
