Richard O. Schaum is a 40 year veteran of the automotive industry, having risen through the ranks at DaimlerChrysler and its predecessor, Chrysler Corporation, to the position of Executive Vice President, Product Development and Quality. He was responsible for all matters pertaining to Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Product Planning, and Quality. Mr. Schaum currently serves on the Board of Directors of BorgWarner Inc., Gentex Corporation, and Sterling Construction Co. In addition, he works as an automotive consultant as General Manager, 3rd Horizon Associates LLC, a company involved in technology assessment and development.
