Orlando Ramos, Ed,D, has over 30 years of experience in public education. He has served/consulted in the following districts/cities:
- New York City- teacher, assistant principal
- Chicago-director of turnaround schools
- East Baton Rouge-associate Superintendent
- Milwaukee-regional Superintendent
- Richmond/San Jose California- principal
- Kingdom of Morocco-chief academic officer
- Ontario-chief strategy officer
While serving as the regional superintendent with Milwaukee public schools, Orlando implemented writing strategies across all high schools which led to MPS high schools recording growth in every content area of the ACT's for 2 consecutive years, a first in MPS accountability history(2016-2017)
While serving as associate superintendent with the East Baton Rouge school system, Orlando was part of a team that improved the school system from a statewide ranking of D" to a statewide ranking of "C" falling just 4 points short of a "B" ranking. 13 schools were slated for take over by the State recovery school district, after one year, not a single school was removed from local control (2012-2015).
While serving as principal of Beloit Memorial high school, the school went from "meeting few expectations" to "meeting expectations" on the State report card. Orlando and his team implemented grading and writing strategies which led to the growth.
Orlando is currently serving as the Chief Strategy oOfficer for REAL Journey Academies in California.
