Title
Child Advocacy Center Clinician
Bio
As the Child Advocacy Clinician (CAC) for the Center for Family Justice, I operate the first clinical outpatient mental health program for our agency. In our clinical program we primarily serve children who are victims of physical and/or sexual abuse as well as children who have been witnesses to a crime. As a CAC, I also work with a multidisciplinary investigative team (MDT) to make sure our children receive the services they need.

In this unique outpatient program the therapeutic process is delivered through a trauma-focused lens. Part of this includes providing child victims psychoeducation on the criminal justice system and how it impacts their particular case. Furthermore, as a CAC, the clinician therapeutically follows the emotional process child victims and their families experience with the developments of their on-going case. If needed, children are provided Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
