Corina has worked in the NHS since 1976. She is a registered nurse and midwife and went on later in her career to complete a BA (Hons) and an MSc. Corina has worked in a variety of roles within midwifery since 1981. Corina was a Supervisor of Midwives for over 25 years, a link supervisor in the North West for many years, and also an assistant LSAMO. A former member of the RCM council, board, and RCM advisory group, Corina also chaired the national heads of midwifery forum for 5 years until she stepped down from the role in December 2019. Corina has been a member of the editorial board of the BJM for many years and is currently the consultant editor of the publication. Corina’s current role is Head of Midwifery and Professional Lead for Midwifery at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust where she is also a staff governor.
