Bio
Steven is the Compliance & Support Manager at Barry Steam Plant with Alabama Power Company. Since 2010, Steven has served Plant Barry in several roles, including the site Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager, and Combined Cycle / CoGen Plant Manager. Before joining Plant Barry, Steven worked at Alabama Power’s Plant Gorgas as the Compliance Manager in 2009. Steven’s Southern Company career started in 1995, working as a Co-Op student at Georgia Power’s Plant Mitchell in Albany, GA. Following graduation in 1999, Steven began full time as a Mechanical Projects engineer at Plant McDonough and progressed into the Fuels Team Leader role in 2000. In 2002, Steven moved to Plant Bowen as a Maintenance Team Leader and then later moved to Plant Hammond as an Operations Team Leader. In 2006, he transferred to Gulf Power’s Plant Smith as the Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering Manager.
Currently, Steven is the Chairman for the Generation Technology Leadership Team (TLT) supporting Southern Company Generation. Steven graduated from Georgia Tech in Civil Engineering, he has an MBA from Georgia State University, and a Juris Doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law. Steven enjoys playing golf, traveling with his family, and supporting youth sports in his community.
