Thomas Weber (born November 12, 1982, in Halle/Saale, Germany) is a Senior Project Manager at Kiwa PI Berlin AG, specializing in photovoltaic (PV) technologies. He holds a degree in Environmental Engineering with a focus on renewable energy from the University of Applied Sciences Berlin. Since 2008, Weber has worked extensively in PV module technology, reliability, and degradation analysis, with expertise in thin-film modules and advanced diagnostic methods such as electroluminescence. He has led numerous R&D projects on PV performance and reliability, including initiatives on glass breakage, PID, and long-term energy production. Weber is an active contributor to international conferences and journals, with multiple publications on thin-film PV degradation and stabilization procedures. He is also a member of the Association of German Engineers and engages in educational outreach.
