Chandra Reddy

Head of Japan at RGAX

Chandra Reddy is Head of Japan for RGAX Asia, the
transformation engine of the Reinsurance Group of America,
Incorporated (RGA). Focused on a digital future, Chandra
works closely with customers, insurtechs, and partners to
define and develop new ideas, business models and
technologies that will shape the life insurance and
healthcare industries going forward.
Based in Japan, Chandra has more than 21 years of
experience in the financial industry around the world leading
the technology strategy, digital transformation and delivery
of mission critical systems. Before joining RGAX, he worked
as the Chief Technology Officer for SBI wefox Asia (an SBI
Group company) in Tokyo, where he was responsible for
building IT strategy for new businesses in SBI Group,
partnering with overseas start-ups to bring tools and
platforms for the banking and insurance businesses into
Japan and Asia.
Prior to that, he worked for AXA General Insurance in Tokyo
as the Chief Technology Officer & Head of IT Transformation
where he was responsible for defining and executing the
overall IT Transformation strategy for the firm and replacing
the legacy Insurance platform with sourced technologies as
part of the company’s Digital Transformation Program. In
addition, he held various global and regional technology
leadership roles at Moody’s in London, and UBS in UK, USA
and Japan. Chandra holds a Bachelor of Engineering
(Electronics & Communication) at Bangalore University in
India and is fluent in English and Japanese.
