Bio
Robin was called to the bar in 1993 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and worked in private practice as an associate lawyer and then a partner at a mid-size firm in Toronto for 23 years. In 2017 she founded her own firm Dodokin Law & Conflict Resolution which offers legal, mediation and arbitration services. Robin’s practice focuses on the areas of commercial litigation, business disputes and insolvency. She represents financial institutions, court appointed officers, companies, shareholders and business partners. Since 2010 she has mediating disputes virtually or in person. Robin has a LL.M in Alternate Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall LawSchool. In addition, she has the designations of Qualified Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator from the ADR Institute of Canada and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.She has completed arbitration training with the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society and mediation training from the Harvard Negotiation Institute and the Center for Dispute Resolution. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and past Chair of the OBA-Insolvency Law Section, a member of the Advocate Society, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a volunteer mediator for ProBono Ontario and a volunteer coach for the Law Society of Ontario Coach and Advisor Network.
When the Pandemic started Robin developed and expanded a virtual conflict resolution practice and continues to conduct and offer arbitration and mediations.
