Bio
Veronika Olšovcová graduated in Dosimetry at the Czech Technical University in Prague. After a decade at the Czech Metrology Institute, she joined in 2010 the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences to work on the development of a newly envisioned laser research centre ELI Beamlines. This new facility, now in operation, exploits high power lasers to produce high energy particle beams of extremely short pulses. Since 2017, she is the Head of Safety team of ELI Beamlines, which takes care i.a. of radioprotection and Monte Carlo simulations. Her group is an active member of a FLUKA collaboration.
Veronika joined WG11 “High energy radiation fields” in 2011. She became WG11 Secretary in 2018 and EURADOS Council member in 2019.
