Hassan leads on Digital Health and Data at Healthcare UK - a joint initiative of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), NHS England and the Department for International Trade (DIT) supporting the best British firms to export as well as the most innovative foreign firms to set up and invest in the UK. He is a subject matter expert is the UK private sector supply chain of innovators as well as the UK trajectory in HealthTech.
He was a founder and CIO of an award-winning digital health firm, Health iQ, until his exit after 8 years in 2019.
He holds an Honorary Research position at Imperial College London at the Department of Primary Care and Public Health for his work in digital health and data science. He is a former social worker and NHS analyst in informatics, commissioning, commissioning support and public health having worked for organisations such as Barts, NHS Commissioning Support for London, NHS London Quality Observatory of Health, NHS Waltham Forest, NHS Barking & Dagenham etc.
He is also a Committee Member of the PM Society and a member of their Market Access Interest Group (MAIG) as well as a judge for their Digital Awards. He is a founder of the TECH4CV19 forum which has gathered 1,000 UK digital health influencers on a match-making platform, runs regular UK HealthTech Socials and is also a founder of a charity, #kit4carers, raising money for PPE and FrugalTech for the care sector.
He regularly contributes to both the World Healthcare Journal and PharmaField magazine and The Financial Times named him in the top 100 most influential BAME leaders in UK tech in 2019.
