Bio
Trey Ideker is a professor of medicine, bioengineering, and computer science and former Chief of Genetics, at the University of California, San Diego. Additionally, he is the director of the Bridge2AI Functional Genomics Data Generation Program and co-director of the Cancer Cell Map Initiative. Ideker’s research team has led seminal studies establishing the theory and practice of systems biology, including systematic techniques for elucidating human cell architecture and its molecular networks. The long-term objective of his group is to create artificially intelligent, mechanistic models of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases for translation of patient data to precision diagnosis and treatment.
