Anna Lise was a modern language teacher and local authority advisor before moving into Initial Teacher Education. She is Director of the Institute of Education at St Mary's University which trains about a 1000 new teachers each year, including modern language enthusiasts. Anna Lise's research interests focus on the resilience and wellbeing of teachers, including factors which enable thriving in the profession for modern language teachers. Anna Lise is a former President of the Association of Language Learning.
