Bio
Virginie Dupont is Professor of Organic Chemistry and has been President of the Université Bretagne Sud since 2020. She held the post of Deputy Director of the Faculty of Sciences between 2006 and 2008, before becoming Dean of this same faculty between 2008 and 2012. In 2012, she joined the rector’s team to take up the position of first vice-president in charge of the board of directors, finance, human resources and heritage, a position she held for eight years.
Professor Dupont is an associate member of the Laboratory of Marine Biotechnology and Chemistry (LBCM).
She has been a national expert for the evaluation of French universities since 2008 and has served as chair of the evaluation committee since 2014. Committed to gender equality, Virginie Dupont joined, in 2017, the Association for Women Leaders in Higher Education and Innovation Research (AFDESRI).
