Bio
I manage LGfL's safeguarding and cybersecurity centres of excellence under the DigiSafe and CyberCloud brands. We look after a community of over 3,000 schools in London and across the UK. Wherever education and technology meet, that's where you will find LGfL; my remit within that is to help keep children safe and schools secure.
This protection can be divided into two broad areas: the technology we deliver to schools (such as filtering 2 billion URLs / 2 million emails daily) and the human element (education and training for staff and students).
As part of my role I sit on various national bodies including the UKCCIS Education Working Group, helping to shape national policy and stay abreast of the latest issues to share with schools across the LGfL network. The LGfL Safeguarding Board which I chair helps ensure that a broad range of expertise informs the LGfL educational and technological approach.
