Maija is the Innovation editor at Sifted, an FT-backed news site and community focused on Europe’s innovation economy. Before joining Sifted, Maija spent 19 years as a technology journalist at the Financial Times for 19 years, from starting as one of the early members of the online news team during the dotcom boom to developing the FT’s social media presence to most recently working as Deputy Editor for Special Reports, where she led projects such as Europe’s Road to Growth and 50 Ideas to Change the World as well as creating the World Tech Founders podcast.
