Emma Thompson

I work as a Lead Primary Care Development Nurse at Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group with a special interest in respiratory work. I have been a nurse for over 25 years and have worked in a variety of settings including as a Practice Nurse prior to joining the CCG. I have been involved in different respiratory initiatives in Primary Care in Sheffield and am passionate about sharing best practice and facilitating learning across the multidisciplinary team. I have chaired the South Yorkshire Respiratory Interest Group since early 2019, and have a great committee who work with me. We hold well attended regular educational sessions for health care professionals across the region. These “learning lunches” have been delivered virtually during the pandemic.
