Jennifer Ong Tone is a dietitian at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association, a non-profit association based in Ottawa who represents the fruit and vegetable industry. In her role, Jennifer champions the Half Your Plate program, a healthy living initiative that encourages Canadians to fill half their plate with fruits and veggies. She develops resources for consumers and health professionals and provides dietitians with the unique opportunity to attend produce field trip tours and conferences throughout Canada.
In her 10 years as a dietitian, Jennifer has worked in various sectors, ranging from the health and fitness sector to the retail industry, and successfully led a national dietitian program for over 80 dietitians. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Bachelor of Commerce with a major in marketing from McGill University and her Master of Health Science in Nutrition Communications from Ryerson University.
Jennifer is passionate about teaching practical nutrition tips to Canadians and showing them that healthy food can taste good. You’ll often find her in the kitchen or garden with her two little ones.
