Anne Gehrke studied geoecology at the Technical University Braunschweig, Germany and received her degree in 2010. After a year at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, she joined GRS, Germany’s central expert organization in the field of nuclear safety, in 2011. Her work involves creating hydrogeological conceptual models based on geoscientific data and performing model calculations for groundwater flow and contaminant transport. She conducts long-term safety analyses, including the evaluation of containment. Anne Gehrke has been a member of the IGSC NGN core group since the end of 2024.
