David Amendola is a senior director and the North America Intellectual Capital Leader for Willis Towers Watson’s Benefits Advisory and Compliance group in Stamford, Connecticut. A specialist in governance and compliance and a former ERISA attorney, he has 22 years of experience in all aspects of employee benefits, including five years with Willis Towers Watson. David consults with clients on governance and compliance matters relating to their retirement plans. Over the last two years, David has spent a lot of his time consulting with clients about the business, legal, administrative, compliance and vendor issues relating to student loan assistance programs.
Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, David was a consultant in the retirement practice of another major consulting company, focusing on DB and DC plan compliance and governance matters. He spent the first 10 years of his career as an ERISA attorney in New York, NY, working for Kelley Drye & Warren LLP and then Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP. David holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
