Dr Matthew Patel is the founder and CEO of Aspen Distillers, a premium spirit company headquartered in Aspen, Colorado. Aspen Distillers was founded in 2019 with a focus on developing premium spirits anchored by sustainable practices. The distillery, which is currently under construction, is centered in the beauty of the Aspen Valley and is taking innovative steps to go above and beyond current measures for sustainability. The project will achieve LEED Platinum certification and is seeking to become the first distillery in the world to meet all the requirements for the Living Building Challenge, a rigorous green building certification governed by the International Living Future Institute.
