Chris Newton is the Executive Director of Responsible Investment at IFM Investors. Here, he works to enhance IFM’s responsible investment endeavours and to drive ESG innovation. Chris has significant expertise and experience on ESG policy and sits on the IFM Investors Investment Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Council for Asia Pacific. Previously, he provided ESG advice to Boards, CEOs and Government Ministers ranging from corporate strategy, economic policy, financial evaluations, M&A and corporate responsibility. Chris is a Non-Executive Director of Westernport Water, Social Traders and a special adviser to Good Shepherd. Chris was an original member of the PRI Infrastructure Advisory Council and also sits on a number of industry working groups, including ACSI, the IIGC Climate Change Policy Working Group and the PRI working groups on “Just Transition” and Human rights.
