Heather Gass has lived with a life-threatening food allergy since she was 4 years old, and now has a young son with multiple life-threatening food allergies. She believes patient stories are at the heart of advocacy and awareness, and are the key to pushing food allergy research closer to a desperately needed cure. Heather shares her advocacy work and the daily struggles (and triumphs!) of food allergy life on Instagram as @food_allergy_advocate. In addition to her advocacy work, she works full-time as a User Experience Designer in the healthcare space.
