Chris Millora is a PhD Researcher with the UNESCO Chair in Adult Literacy and Learning for Social Transformation at the School of Education and Lifelong Learning, University of East Anglia. He holds the UNESCO Chair doctoral scholarship. He researches participation of ‘marginalised’ communities, for instance, through volunteering and social activism, (particularly in Global South contexts) and how such processes cultivate and/or confine members' learning processes and personal transformation. Prior to this, he had over five years of professional and volunteer experience in the Philippine’s development and education sectors. He holds an MA in Lifelong Learning Policy and Management from the Danish School of Education and UCL Institute of Education.
