My research line is focused on Heart brain axis in mental illnesses, specifically Schizophrenia. I conducted studies in Psychiatry inpatient and partial hospitalization settings. I successfully published peer reviewed papers as a first author. My roles included experimental design, writing manuscripts and data analysis. I presented both posters and oral presentation of one of my studies in American psychosomatic society 74th annual meeting, and at American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting, San Diego. My current research projects revolve around cardioautonomic dysregulation in Schizophrenia. I was trained on performing Heart rate variability measurements and analysis, Pulse wave analysis, and basics of statistical analysis. Trained on writing research proposal specific aims, interviewing research subjects, affectivity scales, and performing cognitive tests. Through my fellowship, I created a series of educational videos to illustrate the research methodologies.
