Vincent Carpentier is Reader in History of Education at the UCL Institute of Education and a member of the Centre for Global Higher Education.
Vincent’s research is at the interface of political economy and economic history of education. His work combines historical and international perspectives and explores the links between the development of educational systems, Kondratiev cycles and social change. Another key area of his research is the political economy of national and global higher education with a focus on the tensions between funding policy and (in)equalities.
