Bio
James (Jamie) Robertson is a Conservation Geographer with The Nature Conservancy in Washington and holds a Master’s degree in Geography from Appalachian State University in his home-state of North Carolina. His experience with spatial analysis and mapping ranges across scales and topics, from global freshwater and marine habitat assessments to state climate mitigation to site-level optimization for wetland restoration. Early on, Jamie was a spatial analyst for the Smithsonian’s National Zoo Conservation & Research Center. In 2005, he joined The Nature Conservancy’s central science team, co-authoring The Atlas of Global Conservation, and then turned his career toward applied state and local level conservation planning in Colorado and now Washington. In recent years, Jamie has focused on mapping nature-based climate solutions and their multiple benefits to people and nature in Washington.
