Rick is a registered social worker and Professor of Social Work in the joint Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education at Kingston University and St Georges, University of London. He has researched and written extensively on child protection and children’s social care, with a particular interest in welfare inequalities and the application of systems ideas to the provision of services. His book on Complexity in Social Work is published by Sage.
