Bio
Robert Bekalarski began his career as an Import Specialist with Customs and Border Protection in Buffalo, New York in 2003. In 2012, Mr. Bekalarski was promoted to the position of Program Manager at the Buffalo Field Office where he played an integral role in the establishment of the Industrial and Manufacturing Materials Center of Excellence and Expertise, and acted as an Assistant Center Director for four years. In 2016, Mr. Bekalarski acted as the Assistant Port Director for Trade Operations in the Port of Buffalo, New York where he was responsible for managing the daily trade operation activities for the port including cargo processing, entry summary processing and post release activities. Later that year he was promoted to the position of Assistant Center Director for Enforcement with the Industrial and Manufacturing Materials Center of Excellence and Expertise. In this capacity, he oversees the Center’s trade enforcement efforts focusing on areas of risk within the industry and taking measures to bring non-compliant importers into compliance with CBP regulations.
