As Head of Energy Storage at CRU, Ed leads a team of analysts and researchers who provide techno-economic insights and forecasts on the global energy storage market, including bottom-up cost drivers, demand and technology trends. A materials scientist by training, Ed has previously researched the synthesis and characterization of electro ceramic materials and systems, including solid oxide fuel cells, innovative solid-state battery current collectors, and high-voltage spinel cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries.Prior to his work at CRU, Ed completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering and obtained an MEng degree in Materials Science and Engineering both at the University of Sheffield.
