Phil is a science and technology professional with over 30 years experience in the medical device industry. He is responsible for science, innovation, new product development and education initiatives across ConvaTec's business areas, with a focus on advanced wound care.
Phil has extensive experience in the innovation, design and development of medical devices, being the project leader for the Company’s first antimicrobial dressing (AQUACEL Ag) which rapidly became the leading silver dressing in wound care since its first launch in mid-2002. Subsequent development & commercialisation of a next generation antimicrobial dressing technology (AQUACEL Ag+) designed to eliminate wound biofilm and facilitate healing (2014).
Phil is recognised internationally as a leading scientific expert, and widely published in the field of wound microbiology, infection, infection prevention and anti-infective therapies.
