Originally from the Philippines, Chris is currently a PhD Researcher with the UNESCO Chair programme in Adult Literacy and Learning for Social Transformation based at the School of Education and Lifelong Learning of UEA. His doctoral research is an 11-month ethnographic study exploring the adult learning and literacy dimension of volunteering particularly those participated by 'vulnerable' youths and adults in the Philippines. Chris had over 5 years of experience as a professional and volunteer in the Philippine education and development sectors.
