Steve Murigi is Head of Programmes and Strategic Partnerships at Amref Health Africa UK. He has more than 15 years’ experience in international development, having held senior roles in communication, partnerships and programme development across East Africa and the UK. Steve was responsible for successfully managing communications and partnerships for the highly-publicised ‘Guardian Katine’ project for Amref in Kenya and Uganda between 2007 and 2012, and more recently stewarding a multi-million-pound partnership between Amref and GSK. He is a Commonwealth Fellow with a background in Social Communications, Journalism, and Global Diplomacy from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and SOAS University of London
