Ambar Johnson (she/her) is an amalgamation of Jersey and Georgia who imagines a world where transportation is freedom. In her labor, she holds the tensions between: the abstract and the concrete, liberal arts and STEM, and urban and rural. When she’s not working, for play she: pushes pedals across pavements, pens across paper, and phalanges across pianos.
Since her learning journey nine years ago, there are many roads that guided her to transportation - planning school was not one of them.
Ambar’s imagination grounds us despite the bustle of our respective cities and towns and asks us to be more than passengers on moving vehicles - but to experience the motion of being human.
Daughter of the east coast, she is happy to live, learn, and serve at the intersection of her favorite things. Curiosity is her superpower.
