Yann Perrot obtained a PhD in physics in 2011 (University of Clermont-Ferrand, France). He studied electron transport in Monte Carlo codes, especially Geant4, which he validated experimentally for external and targeted radiation therapy. He has been involved in many projects dealing with dosimetry and microdosimetry to assess dose-response relationship and improve radiation therapy treatments. His research on the effects of ionizing radiations naturally led him to computational nanodosimetry and he came closer to the Geant4-DNA code first as a user and then as a contributor. He joined the ionizing radiation dosimetry lab of IRSN in 2019. His activites are mainly focused on modeling early DNA damage and its evolution in order to feed risk models of healthy tissues complications after radiation therapy treatments. He is an active member of EURADOS (WG6, Computational Dosimetry) since 2019. Active member of Geant4-DNA collaboration, he represents biological damage and repair activity at the steering committee and he is contributor of several user examples.
