Emily Tassinari is a Process Engineer with FARREL POMINI. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Haven in 2018. In 2020, Emily completed a Graduate Certificate in Plastics Engineering from UMass Lowell. She is currently working in the FARREL POMINI Customer Demonstration Facility and Research & Development Center focused on optimizing continuous mixing technology for a variety of compounding processes including black, white and highly filled masterbatch as well as PVC, flame retardants, flooring, recycled and biopolymer applications.

Emily is the company’s coordinator for the UCONN Capstone Project focused on developmental rotor, feed screw coatings and polymer melt release mechanisms. She is also is the liaison with the Plastics Engineering Department at UMass Lowell, one of the nation's leading centers for plastics technology, to establish a CPeX pilot-scale mixer in their laboratory. The CPeX will be used for graduate and professional research and will be integrated into the curriculum to introduce future plastics engineers to FARREL POMINI technology.
