Carra serves as the Director of Engagement for Solar United Neighbors and is passionate about connecting, activating, and engaging people from all walks of life in the environmental movement. She joined Solar United Neighbors in 2016 to help build a diverse movement of solar supporters and solar ambassadors, spreading the word about solar in communities across the country. Currently, Carra manages Solar United Neighbors' engagement department and coordinates national engagement initiatives including the National Solar Tour, Brews from the Sun, and the SUN patch scouting programs. Carra has over a decade of professional experience in program management and design, community outreach and engagement, environmental organizing at all levels from local to international, digital engagement, environmental education and outdoor recreation in the non-profit and local government sectors. Carra holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Sociology-based Human Relations from Connecticut College and is a certified Wilderness First Responder and Master Gardener.
