Evan Nichols serves as Director of Technical Sales at ARRAY Technologies, bringing over a decade of experience in solar engineering and utility-scale project development. In this role, he leads customer engagements on advanced tracker integration, specializing in strategies such as SmarTrack™ Hail Alert Response and Passive Stow, and is known for his deep technical expertise and collaborative, innovation-driven approach.
Prior to ARRAY, Evan held multiple leadership positions at First Solar, most recently as Senior Global Manager of Application Engineering. There, he led global teams across the U.S. and India, advanced cross-functional product development, and managed key ecosystem partnerships spanning BOS, EPC, and independent engineering firms. He played a pivotal role in launching major product platforms, including Series 6 and Series 7, while driving technical marketing, sales strategy, and product roadmaps focused on durability and performance. Earlier in his career, he contributed to more than 5.5 GW of module sales, co-authored bankability reports, and published industry white papers on module lifetime and degradation.
Evan also co-founded Glass City Community Solar, a nonprofit focused on expanding access to renewable energy in underserved communities, where he served as Vice President. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Toledo, with minors in Chemistry and Professional Sales.
