Bio
Dr. Sharon Vestal holds an MA in Mathematics from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD, and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Colorado-Boulder, Boulder, CO. She is an Associate Professor in the SDSU Department of Mathematics and Statistics, where her teaching focus is preparation of secondary mathematics teachers. She has served as PI on multiple grants at SDSU, totaling over $2.6 million in external funding. This funding has been used for scholarships for preservice math and science teachers as well as workshops for inservice math teachers.
