I’m a Navy Veteran. I learned how to fly while I was in the Navy, earning my Private and Commercial Licenses and Instrument and Multi-engine ratings before I left active duty. I received my CFI and CFII shortly after leaving the service and I have been a professional pilot and flight instructor for 40 years. I am currently the Chief Pilot and Director of Aviation for COMMSCOPE in Hickory, NC. We operate two Challenger 300s and a Learjet 31A. I am currently the Vice-Chairman of the NBAA safety Committee, member of the Bombardier Safety Standdown Council and have been a member of the FAA Safety Team for 12 years. I am the recipient of the 2013 Eugene Cernan Safety Standdown Award. I am also the Director of the Hickory Aviation Museum.
