Jon joined Springboard in 2013 from Walsall Council where he had spent 4 years as Walsall Town Centre Manager. Jon’s previous work in Local Government as a Town Centre Manger gives him an understanding and insight into the needs and pressures of town and city centres to adapt and perform. Successful projects include the implementation of the Government’s High Street Innovation Fund, securing funding from both the public and private sector and running an award winning Night Market.
Jon’s first role at Springboards was as UK High Street Account Manager where he account managed 210+ towns and cities from Aberdeen to St Helier for both local authorities and business improvement districts, helping them to measure and gain insight into performance of their locations. After Springboard secured funding in 2016 from the Governments Innovate Project in partnership with the Institute of Place Management and Manchester Metropolitan University, Jon was involved in supporting the 7 pilot towns to monitor footfall, sales and vacancy rates.
Now Head of Division for Springboard’s Learning Academy, Jon is responsible for the commercial aspect of the business, working alongside the Academy’s Learning Manager to deliver training to the Place Management industry.
